Win one week’s accommodation anywhere in the world! Sound like a dream? Come on out to Winterfest and you can get two chances to make your destination dream come true!
Winterfest is returning to Radium Hot Springs for the second year after a huge success last winter. Put this Saturday, February 19th from 12 noon to 4pm on your calendar. It will be a day filled with fun for everyone in the family –- and maybe you will be the big winner.
Sixteen teams will be competing in a Curling Fun Spiel happening all afternoon on two outdoor rinks –- one at the Radium ball park and one beside the seniors’ hall. The entry fee is $20 per team and this includes two games and a discount for the big dance in the evening (your cost will be only $5). You couldn’t get a better deal anywhere! Free crafts for the children will be ongoing from noon until 4pm at the seniors’ hall. Children five years and under are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Free outdoor games for children of all ages will be located just outside the seniors’ hall periodically throughout the afternoon.

From 2-3pm, learn how to make lace candles and make one to take home with you. Everyone, no matter what age, is welcome and it’s free!
Put your skills to the test from 2:30-3:30pm and compete against Radium’s finest wilderness men and women. Race to complete the outdoor obstacle course and become the top wilderness challenger! Participants can register in advance at Meet On Higher Ground Coffee Shop on Main Street in Radium.
From 12:30-2:30pm, you can be a judge in the fun potato topper competition, back by popular demand this year. For only $5, sample delicious potato toppings in Radium’s local restaurants and vote for your favorite.
Draw to the Button at 4pm to win one week’s accommodation anywhere in the world through Interval International, courtesy of Bighorn Meadows Resort. It’s only $5 per throw!
The adults will be swingin’ in the evening at the Saturday night dance from 8pm until 12 midnight at the seniors’ hall. Tickets are $8 each and you must be 19 years or older. Have a second chance to draw to the Button to win a week’s accommodation anywhere in the world. You have to be there to win, though!
Proceeds from the draws will go to the Radium events committee.
Winterfest is a great time for families to make happy memories and the weatherman seems to think the sun will be shining so come on out and play!
