Panorama’s Mountain Mardi Gras

Feb 24-26, Panorama –
The only thing missing will be the bayou (and we’re not sure about the catfish) when the second annual Panorama Mountain Mardi Gras takes off from February 24th to 26th, 2012 and everyone’s invited to come celebrate. The weekend promises to be a fabulous frolic of great food and great fun in the snow so mark the dates on your calendar and bring the family!
There will be themed food stations in the Great Hall, an outdoor BBQ, themed activities, carnival games, Mardi Gras mask making, beads, great skiing. Here’s a schedule of events for the entire weekend.
Friday, February 24
- 4:30pm to 9pm – Free lift-accessed tobogganing on Highway 1 – please stop at guest services to get your lift ticket.
- 7 pm – Free hot chocolate (while supplies last).
- 8 pm – Torchlight parade under the Mile 1 Quad
Saturday. February 25
Headlining the Mardi Gras Festival is a Great Hall Live performance of Ski Bum: The Musical on Saturday night (see our story). Only 200 tickets available.
- 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. FREE snow snake hunt – find a rubber snake anywhere in the Upper Village, Mile 1 Quad or beginner area and redeem for a prize at guest services
- 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – BBQ on the Great Hall deck
- 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Live music at the Great Hall
- 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. – FREE carnival games at the mountain base area
- 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Mardi Gras Themed Food Stations in the Great Hall
- 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Mardi Gras mask-making in the Great Hall
- 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – FREE popcorn at the Great Hall deck
- 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – FREE family souvenir photo shoot
- 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Cotton candy at the Great Hall
- 4:00 p.m. – Limbo contest at the Great Hall
- 6:00 p.m. – Syndicate Boardshop Rail Jam at the base of the mountain
- 8:00 p.m. – Ski Bum: The Musical – Tickets available now!
- 10:00 p.m. – DJ and dance party in the Great Hall
Sunday, February 26
- 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – FREE carnival games and activities
- 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – FREE family souvenir photo shoot
